AYOP attends H2A Symposium in Amsterdam

On Thursday, June 18, the H2A Symposium took place in Amsterdam, and AYOP was there. Under the theme “Hydrogen in a rapidly changing world & Building European resilience,” this year’s program focused on how hydrogen can contribute to a safer, more competitive, and more resilient European energy system.

The general conclusion is that hydrogen plays an important but selective role in the energy transition. It is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but it is essential for sectors where electrification falls short. The speakers called for moving away from talking about future megaprojects and instead starting with feasible applications that can work today. The technology often already exists, but the market still needs to be built. And we must start doing that today. Because without demand, there is no market, and without a market, there is no transition.
