Inspiring innovation meeting at 3DMZ in Haarlem

On April 3, we were guests at 3DMZ (3D Makers Zone) in Haarlem. At this innovation hub, companies experiment with 3D printing, robotics, IoT and AI. This is the place where innovation and technology come together. A great location to meet up and talk about innovation.

The topic of this innovation meeting was ‘digitalization and robotization in the offshore energy sector’. Several speakers from our network gave a presentation: Pentacon/Movigo, Knowledge Insight and Bureau Veritas. After a tour of the building along various new technologies, we concluded with networking drinks.

AYOP director Dionne Ruurda tells us what she took away from the innovation meeting, “The common thread was: start your innovation with pen and paper! The most important phase of innovation is preparation. Think carefully about what you want to achieve with the innovation and don’t think in advance about the possible solution, such as a robot or 3D printing. Really start from scratch, so that you can arrive at the best suited solution for your situation,” said Dionne.
