AYOP member Hydrauvision offers total solutions for drive technology

Hydrauvision is a specialist in all areas where drive technology plays a central role. “Whether it is hydraulic, electric or another form of drive, we help customers solve problems. This can be an issue where a part has to move or where an entire machine has to be built,” says Rogier Geleijn, Sales Manager at one of AYOP’s newest members Hydrauvision.

One-stop-shop for drive solutions

Hydrauvision started in Zeeland 50 years ago. In recent years, they have grown rapidly into a company with over 300 employees, spread over 8 locations. Rogier says: “We have gained a lot of experience in helping customers with customized solutions. With our own production and engineering departments, we have all the knowledge in-house to develop, design and build complex hydraulic systems for the most diverse applications. We are mainly specialists in the field of system integration and are involved in the entire process; from development to commissioning of hydraulic systems.”

But this is not the only thing Hydrauvision is involved in. Rogier says: “We have a rental fleet with approximately 600 assets, such as power packs, winches, fuel separators, all geared towards – but not limited to – offshore operations. We deliver this complete with operators, cables and customized software. And within the organization we also have an electrical department, service department and components department. These departments work across the country. Because we are a flat organization, we can quickly switch with engineers in other locations. In this way, together we form a one-stop-shop for drive solutions.”

From the dredging industry to offshore wind

Hydrauvision originally got a lot of work from the dredging industry. Now they see that shifting to sectors such as offshore wind. “A lot of dredgers work as contractors for offshore wind. So new work is coming in. For example, we develop tools for nacelles. This work is picked up from IJmuiden, where we also do a lot for the fishing industry. We notice that the service pressure is increasingly shifting to locations such as IJmuiden. That is where mainly work planners and mechanics are located, but also some decentralized engineering and software people,” says Rogier.

Electrification: more than just replacing an engine

When we look to the future and projects that are becoming increasingly important for Hydrauvision, we cannot ignore electrification: “Everyone is talking about it, in the context of greening society this is of course very relevant. Diesel machines are increasingly being replaced by electric machines. If a customer asks us about this, we also look at what is behind this question. We then look at the entire efficiency. For example, we do not only replace the engines, but also look at energy flows and regeneration of machines. We implement this in the design, which gives the customer an even better, greener and more cost-efficient result.

Why AYOP?

In order to become more well-known in the region, Hydrauvision has joined our network association. “The goal is that when people hear the name Hydrauvision, they do not only think of the cable they once picked up at the office, or that service technician they saw driving. But that they have a complete picture of the services we offer,” says Rogier. “Via AYOP we hope to get new contacts in the sector. It’s about synergy: that’s the crux of a network association. You can spar and work together towards the market. Together you are stronger.”
