Oceanwide celebrates 50 years: “people always come first”

This month, Oceanwide turns 50! A wonderful milestone for this committed AYOP member. Oceanwide is a welcome guest at AYOP events and participates annually in the AYOP pavilion during the Offshore Energy exhibition in Amsterdam. Together with our contact person Attila Csizmarik, we would like to reflect on the success of the past fifty years and look ahead to the future.

The power of the personal approach

For those who are not yet very familiar with Oceanwide: this international maritime HR services company specializes in recruitment and secondment in the maritime and energy sectors. What is most important in this regard? People always come first. AYOP contact person Attila Csizmarik, manager of the Energy Business Unit, confirms this: “At Oceanwide, we look beyond just a job title. Who is the person, what are their qualities, and where would they fit best? Furthermore, we deliver on our promises and are realistic. Thanks to this personal approach, we see that clients enjoy coming back to us. Some have even been clients for more than 25 years. The fact that we are still allowed to serve those companies is the icing on the cake!”

An accessible organization

Attila has been working at Oceanwide for over 7 years now. He does so with great pleasure: “We are a very approachable and accessible organization. We do it together, and you are never on your own. We project that to our employees as well. That is why Oceanwide is such a great company to work for.” This human approach has formed the foundation of the organization for fifty years and remains an important guiding principle for the future.

Looking to the future

For the future, there are plenty of opportunities to expand globally and increase the network of professionals. For instance, the company started providing services in Latvia and Lithuania last year. The focus remains on technical professionals within the maritime cluster. “We want to respond to the market as broadly as possible and expand our network. After all, there is still a lot to happen in the field of the energy transition, think of all the new technologies and the training courses that go with them,” says Attila. “That is why we have also joined labor market initiatives from AYOP and, for example, the Blue Nexis program in Den Helder. We believe it is important to share our knowledge and experience and, in doing so, connect with the new generations.”

Congratulations on this wonderful milestone, Oceanwide. Here’s to the next 50 years!
