AYOP members visit WIND Cable Services

Over 40 members visited WIND Cable Services in Velsen-Noord on Tuesday, 17 September. The cables from WIND connect offshore wind farms to the energy grid and are therefore literally the lifelines of our offshore energy supply.

During the tour, we saw how the enormous cables are stored and transported, how they are handled safely, and how inspection and repair are carried out.

In addition, Yusuf Kilic from Statkraft gave a presentation about the green hydrogen project Zephyros, which is being developed in the Port of Den Helder.
