Online Business Call: Nuclear Energy and the Role of SMRs in the Energy Transition

We are pleased to invite you to an online AYOP Business Call on nuclear energy and the opportunities that Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) offer for the Dutch energy transition — and for AYOP members within the supply chain. This session will be held in Dutch.

Floriske Deutman – Chair, Stichting Energietransitie Kernenergie (SEK)
An overview of the role nuclear energy can play in the energy transition as a continuously available, COâ‚‚-free power source, including the latest social and political developments in the Netherlands.

Dirk Rabelink – CEO, ULC-Energy
An introduction to the plans for deploying the Rolls-Royce SMR in the Netherlands. With a capacity of 470 MW per unit and an availability factor of over 95%, this factory-built concept offers strong potential for both grid supply and industrial applications.

Dr. Pim Reuderink – Bureau Veritas / AYOP member
A practical perspective on the opportunities for AYOP members within the nuclear and SMR supply chain.

After this session, you will have more insight into:

  • The role of nuclear energy in the Dutch and European energy transition

  • The status and developments of SMRs in the Netherlands

  • Concrete business opportunities for AYOP members in the nuclear supply chain

We look forward to welcoming you online.
